The design of this facility is a modern design suited to the ruggedness of the northern landscape.

The purpose of the facility was to supply a much needed new facility, operating to modern standards, and give it an appearance that would both maintain and attract new doctors to the region.

​

As a smaller community in Northern Alberta, they struggled, like all northern communities, to maintain their doctors.  Wabasca has recognized that a well designed facility can help them with this serious problem.

JMAA architecture worked closely and carefully in negotiating a design resolution between the various user groups.  The final result is a professional facility that will accommodate the needs of Wabasca into the future.
